Welcome to the Low Vision Centers of Indiana! We are a nationally recognized optometric practice that specializes in vision rehabilitation. We have been a leader in the low vision rehabilitation of patients with macular degeneration and visual impairments from stroke or other brain injury. We have developed innovative programs in the rehabilitation of visual field loss and in bioptic driving. Our staff strives to provide the newest technology for our patients. We have assisted thousands of patients of all ages return to more productive lives.

Our practice was founded in 1894 by Dr. Thomas Bell and has grown over 115 years into a multi-doctor practice serving visually impaired patients at three major centers. Our practice has received thirty-nine major awards. We are the only practice in history to twice receive the National Optometrist of the Year Award for the United States(1984 and 1999) from the American Optometric Association, an award given only thirty-eight times in history. Additionally, twice doctors from our practice have been appointed as Distinguished Practitioners of the National Academy of Practice, an honor limited to 150 practitioners in each of the major health profession in the United States.
